A family-run vintage shop
Behind the shop are Britt and Johannes and their three children, Peter, Emil and Andrea. The store first opened in the fall of 2022, with Britt initially leading the way, driven by her passion for home decor and design and a dream of opening a vintage shop. A place where she could share her interest in unique interior design with others. After receiving strong support from the rest of the family, she finally decided to give it a go.
Over time, it has evolved into a project for the whole family, with Britt and Emil primarily running the store on a daily basis, while the rest of the family helps out whenever possible.
Quality
Our goal has always been to run a vintage store filled with the highest quality vintage items for the home. All products are carefully selected before making their way to the store.
Love for France
We have a great fondness for France, where we have traveled and vacationed for many years. In addition, we also select the best items from countries like Italy, Belgium, Germany, and Sweden.
Philosophy
From the very beginning, we’ve had a philosophy of only handpicking items that we would want to have in our own home.
Experience
Our wish is that you don’t just come home with a French pot, silverware, or an Italian bowl, but that after a visit to the orangery, you’ve had a unique experience.

Family farm in Southern Jutland
The farm is a family estate, where Britt and Johannes are the fifth generation to live there. For many years, they have run a farm on the property – and now, it was time for a large vintage store to move in as well.

From cowshed to vintage shop
In 2022, the last traces of dairy cattle disappeared, and through a complete renovation, the barn was transformed into the large orangery that stands today. The goal was to modernize, but at the same time preserve large parts of the original construction and charm. Stalls became mirror pools. Manure pits became a French garden. Beams became long tables. And walls became glass panels, suddenly bringing the view inside.

100 square meters orangery
After two years of renovation, our beautiful orangery was finally completed, offering a view of the new mirror pool and out towards Als Fjord. In these lovely surroundings, we occasionally host wine tastings, intimate concerts, and wreath-making workshops when Christmas is approaching.

Vintage - Interior - Home
We often talk about how the original plan was for the room next to the orangery to be the store. The expectation was certainly not that the interior design adventure would develop so quickly, so today you can hunt for vintage finds in both the orangery and the adjacent store.
